2017 New Kawasaki Ninja 1000 launched in India

The “Kawasaki Ninja” 1000 has been a great starting point for a sport-touring bike in the world. The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is a big step forward to making it a turn-key sport-tourer. Along with the launch of the Ninja 1000, the company has also now started sales of the Z900 minus the optional kit that came along with the motorcycle earlier this year. The “Kawasaki Ninja” motorcycle is priced at Rs 7.68 lakh as opposed to the earlier Rs 9 lakh in India. And now comes without the fly screen, engine casing cover, crash bobbins, pillion seat cowl, 12V charging socket and radiator guard. The Ninja 1000 is assembled in India and only 20 units have been assigned to the Indian market for now. “Kawasaki Ninja 1000cc” Bookings have already started for both the Ninja 1000 and the Z900 at this time.

The Subtle tweaks have improved throttle response and torque spread. Kawasaki Ninja is further new ECU revisions to meet Euro4 emission standards quality. The “Kawasaki Ninja1000” bike are Secondary balancer geared to the crankshaft has been added to reduce vibration and a new intake resonator has been integrated to soften intake roar below 7000rpm yet bike “give it character” above that point. Kawasaki has revised the suspension (41mm pre-load adjustable inverted forks in front and a remotely adjustable mono-shock at the rear) for better damping capability. This has also resulted in the motorcycle now getting a lower seat height of 815mm.
The front brakes are carryover dual 300mm petal-shaped discs clamped by 4-piston, radial-mount Monobloc calipers. The world best of “Kawasaki Ninja1000” bike rear is a carryover 250mm petal disc with a single piston caliper strong engine in the bike. For 2017 pad material is revised on the rear and a bike radial front brake master cylinder is new. Both changes are made to improve braking feel. The bike is big changes for the 2017 Ninja 1000 affect both power delivery and braking and come in the form of a Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit. Weighing in at just 40 grams, the IMU allows additional precision in both the Kawasaki Traction Control and the Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System.

There’s a pair of new LED headlights that blaze on high-beam. If you’re caught out after dark, you’ll be glad you are on the 2017 Ninja 1000. Those bikes are two eyes throw the light much farther than before. Speaking of the lighting, the integration of the front turn indicators gives the front end a classy look. The “Kawasaki Ninja” 1000’s bike headlights are now LED units which are Kawasaki claims throws light 1.4 times further than last year’s halogens. The “Kawasaki Ninja” LCD system portion to the right side of the tachometer is a negative display system, featuring white characters on a black background for improved visibility in all lighting conditions in this bike. The readout includes speedometer, odometer/dual Trip meters, clock, ambient/coolant temperature, fuel level, fuel range and average/instant fuel consumption. Additionally, gear indicator, power Modes, and KTRC setting are also displayed.

The “Kawasaki Ninja” seat is wider for more support and the style passenger seat is longer, wider, and redesigned to keep the passenger from sliding forward. The windscreen, although closer to the bodywork is three-way adjustable to keep the wind off. Amenities are a little sparse, though. There is no cruise control and heated grips are a $289.95 option. I was flying solo at the introduction. I cannot comment on the comfort of the passenger, but the rider’s seat is hard enough to be uncomfortable long before a tankful of gas has been finished. The “Kawasaki Ninja” grab rail has been located slightly higher than before and contains the bag-mounting slots in this bike. The bike previous generation required that the grab rail be high level changed and the bodywork cut to accommodate the accessory bags this bike.

The KTRC is Kawasaki’s traction control system & was available on the last Ninja 1000cc bike. The Kawasaki bike features are three modes - two levels for dry pavement and a third for wet, plus completely off. Previous to this year, the Kawasaki bike KTRC relied on wheel speed sensors to decide how the bike reacted. With Kawasaki Ninja 1000 bike addition of the parameters added by the bikes Bosch IMU, wheelie control is now more precise and its interventions have become more nuanced than simple power cuts in bikes. The “Kawasaki Ninja 1000” can be set to one of the bike three settings. The “Kawasaki Ninja 1000 cc” Modes 1 and 2 are designed for maximum acceleration while mode three is designed to provide stability in slippery conditions. The “Kawasaki Ninja” bike’s two-day introductory ride, I left the KTRC set to 1 on the bike. The first modulating front-wheel lift cresting a hill and then flashing the KTRC indicator as both wheels became slightly airborne on the next whoop.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Price –Rs- 9, 98,000 lakh. It is available in 1 version. Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is available in 2 different Colors: Green and Black.
