Triumph Street Triple RS bike Price, Specs, Review, Pics and Mileage...

The new bike Triumph Street Triple RS Last week, we told you about the new Triumph Speedmaster cruiser that will make it to India in 2018. And now there is news about a new Triumph coming to India in the next few days. The Triumph Street Triple RS bike in question is the 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS, which is the racetrack-oriented version of the S. It's the higher-spec variant of the new Street; what that means is it gets additional electronics, higher-spec cycle parts, and makes more power and torque as well, although the bike engine is same as the base Street Triple S both are bike same system. Triumph dealerships all across the country have already started taking bookings for the 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. The OVERDRIVE has also learned that the Triumph Street Triple RS will be launched in India on October 14, 2017. We believe the deliveries of this beautiful offering should begin soon after national launch.
Features
The Street Triple is a naked motorcycle with stylish looks. Both the Street Triple Sand Street Triple RS get ride-by-wire with different riding modes. While the S variant just gets two riding modes - Road and Rain, the Street Triple RS gets five different riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, Track and a programmable Rider mode. The Street Triple RS seat is quite broad to make the style seating comfortable. The Street Triple RS also gets a full-color 5-inch TFT instrument panel with two different themes, and three different styles to choose from, with high/low contrast options. Comparatively, the Street Triple S just gets an LCD instrument panel. The bike is well styled and put together overall and has tidy proportions. The overall silhouette of both variants look more or less similar, but the differences are in the details.

Brakes
The brakes are also great with a progressive stopping ability. The Street Triple RS also gets better brakes. Street Triple RS bike variants get twin 310 mm front discs and a single 220 mm rear disc. You get just the perfect feel desired.  But the Street Triple RS gets higher-spec Brembo M50 4-piston Monobloc calipers at the front and a Brembo single-piston sliding caliper at the rear. And ABS on the RS bike is switchable on both are wheels for aggressive and sporty riding. On the S however, ABS remains on all the time. The Street Triple is fitted with upside down front forks and a monoshock suspension setup at the rear, with an alloy swingarm.
Engine
The Triumph Street Triple RS is powered by the same 765 cc, in-line three, liquid-cooled engine of the Street Triple S. The difference is, on the RS, the engine makes more power and more torque; the RS makes 121 bhp at 11,700 rpm and 77 Nm of peak torque at 10,800 rpm. The bike pulls away smoothly without any sort of strain and the powerband has a broad range making it easy to ride at any speeds. but gets a slip-assist clutch which translates to a lighter clutch lever feel, and also aids in aggressive downshifting, without chances of wheel lock-up. The RS also gets a Quickshifter which the S variant misses out on.
